Girard Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Each spring, families from Girard and the surrounding communities gather on the Crawford County Courthouse Lawn in Downtown Girard for one of the most joyful and long-standing traditions — the Girard Annual Easter Egg Hunt!  

Held each year the weekend before Easter, this event brings children, parents, and community members together to celebrate the season with fun, laughter, and plenty of colorful eggs. The Courthouse Lawn is filled with excitement as kids of all ages race to find thousands of candy-filled eggs, enjoy springtime activities, and even meet the Easter Bunny for photos and smiles. 

The Easter Egg Hunt is divided into age groups to ensure every child has a fair chance to join in on the fun. Along with the egg hunts, families can enjoy music, treats, and a cheerful community atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of Easter in small-town Girard.
